IMPORTANT

This scan is to give you reassurance about your baby size and wellbeing.

If you have any complications during the pregnancy or just worried about baby’s size, we will reassure you by preforming fetal biometry and calculating estimated fetal weight at the current gestation.

Assessing placental blood flow plays an important role in screening for impaired placentation and the associated complications of pre-eclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction and perinatal death. We recommend that you present your growth scan results to your usual health care professional whose contact details we take at the time of booking.

We ask you to have a full bladder so that a transabdominal scan gives us best possible visualisation and information, we recommend that you drink at least 0.5 litre of water before your scan. If possible, please refrain from emptying your bladder just before your scan.

Any concern will be reported for you to communicate with your Healthcare provider.
