All of our scans are conducted by highly qualified sonographers with extensive experience from the NHS
Wellbeing Scan
The main purpose of this scan is to give you peace of mind.
During this scan, we will:
- Confirm fetal viability
- Determine the number of fetuses
- Examine basic fetal anatomy, including the stomach, kidneys, and bladder
- Find the position of the placenta
During this scan, we will assess fetal size subjectively and will not perform fetal biometry. For a more detailed assessment of fetal size, we recommend booking other scans based on your gestational age.
Your 10-minutes appointment includes:
- Confirmation of fetal viability and hearing your baby’s heartbeat
- A baby wellbeing report (no fetal biometry included)
- Optional determination of your baby’s sex
- Two 2D thermal photo prints
- A 4D preview of your baby (not guaranteed, depends on conditions)
- Digital images and mini video clips sent to your email
This service is suitable for gestational ages between 16 and 23 weeks
We will not perform fetal biometry with this scan, and the fetal size will be assessed subjectively. If you would like a more detailed assessment of the fetal size, please book other scans according to your gestational age.
Our sonographer will provide you with a sneak peek of a 4D scan. If you would like a full 4D scan, please book a 3D/4D scan.
We ask you to have a full bladder so that a transabdominal scan gives us the best possible visualization and information. We recommend that you drink at least 0.5 litres of water before your scan and refrain from emptying your bladder just before the appointment.
