I normally don’t write reviews but this one had to be shared. We have gone to Elena a few times for scans now and she is nothing short of amazing ! This is our first child so it’s all nerve wracking but her presence is so calming and reassuring. She remains professional whilst being friendly enough for you to feel comfortable around her. After having our reassurance scan with her we knew we had to return for our gender scan which again was nothing short of amazing. She is super informative and the environment is very clean and always smells nice which is lovely during your nausea - I highly and genuinely would recommend her to anyone looking for scans !! 10/10 from us !!! 🙂

They were looking for an ectopic pregnancy. What they discovered was something entirely unexpected.
A 35-year-old woman came for an ultrasound after a positive pregnancy test and a three-week missed period. But during the examination, the expected pregnancy could not be identified.
Further investigation eventually revealed something much more serious.
This real clinical case is an important reminder that some conditions can develop with few or no obvious symptoms in their early stages. Sometimes, an examination requested for one reason can reveal an unexpected finding that needs further investigation.
Early assessment matters — particularly when you notice new, persistent or unexplained changes in your body.
If something doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it. Speak to your GP or an appropriate healthcare professional about the next steps.

What can an Upper Abdominal Ultrasound tell you about your health? 🤍
An upper abdominal ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive scan that allows us to assess several important organs and structures within the abdomen.
During the scan, the sonographer may examine:
• Liver — including its size, appearance and any focal abnormalities
• Gallbladder & bile ducts — including assessment for gallstones and other changes
• Pancreas — where visible, its appearance and surrounding structures
• Spleen — including its size and appearance
• Kidneys — including their size, structure and signs of stones or other abnormalities

What can a pelvic ultrasound assess? 🤍
A female pelvic ultrasound provides a detailed look at the uterus, endometrium, ovaries and surrounding pelvic structures.
It can help assess:
• Uterus — its size, shape, position and appearance, including assessment for fibroids, adenomyosis and other abnormalities.
• Endometrium (uterine lining) — its thickness, appearance and regularity, particularly in relation to the menstrual cycle or abnormal bleeding.
• Ovaries — their size, morphology and follicle pattern, including assessment for ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian morphology and other abnormalities.
• Adnexa — the areas surrounding the ovaries and fallopian tubes can be assessed for cysts, masses or fluid.
• Pelvic fluid — the scan can identify the presence of free fluid within the pelvis.
