Join the team behind every scan
We run appointment-based ultrasound clinics for self-referring patients across a range of scan types, from obstetric to musculoskeletal. Our clinics stay small by design, so every patient gets proper time on the table and every team member knows the people they work alongside.
We are now looking to add a sonographer and a receptionist to keep pace with demand.
Both roles are based at our clinic and open to part-time applicants on self-employed contracts.
Rate dependent on experience
The role
You will carry out a full caseload of diagnostic ultrasound examinations — general, obstetric, gynaecological, and musculoskeletal — reporting directly to referring clinicians and working closely with our receptionist to keep clinics running on time.
What we are looking for
- HCPC registration, or eligibility to register, as a sonographer
- PgD or PgC in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent)
- Confident scanning independently across a general caseload
- Clear, patient-facing communication under a full clinic list
The role
You will be the first and last person most patients speak to — booking appointments, managing referrals as they come in, taking payments, and keeping the waiting room calm even when the clinic is full.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house, or admin role — healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Comfortable on the phone and calm with patients who are anxious about a scan
- Good working knowledge of email, calendars, and basic office software
- Reliable, well-organised, and happy working as part of a small team
- Email your CV and a short covering note to [email protected], stating which role you are applying for.
- We will confirm receipt within a few working days and get in touch if we would like to arrange a first conversation.
- Shortlisted candidates are invited to visit the clinic to meet the team before any formal interview.
