Standard 3D/4D Scan
The main purpose of this scan is to give you the opportunity to see your baby before birth.
This scan provides an exciting chance to observe your baby’s activity in the womb and marvel at the variety of facial expressions they can make. We are delighted to offer you this 3D/4D scan experience.
As healthcare professionals, we will also ensure to reassure you about fetal wellbeing, provide information on the position of the placenta, and detail the fetal position during the scan.
Your 15-minute appointment includes the following:
- Confirmation of fetal viability and listening to your baby’s heartbeat
- A full report on your baby’s wellbeing
- Estimated weight of your baby at the current gestation
- Optional determination of your baby’s sex
- Four 3D black and white photo prints of your baby
- Digital colour images and mini video clips sent to your email
This package requires a booking between 24 to 32 weeks’ gestation and does not require a GP referral.
Please note: No fetal biometry included in this package
Any concerns identified during the scan will be reported to you. You can then discuss these findings with your healthcare provider for further advice or management as needed.
We recommend that you arrive for your scan with a full bladder to optimize the visual clarity and information provided by the transabdominal scan. Please drink at least 0.5 litres of water before your appointment, and try to avoid emptying your bladder immediately before the scan.
