This comprehensive blood test would provide a thorough assessment of a woman’s overall health, reproductive health, risk factors for chronic diseases, and potential health issues specific to women. However, the necessity of specific tests may vary depending on factors such as age, medical history, and individual risk factors, so it’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the most appropriate tests for each individual.

Pelvic ultrasound may be recommended to evaluate the reproductive organs, including the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes.

Thyroid ultrasound may be recommended to assess the size, structure, and abnormalities of the thyroid gland.

Upper abdominal ultrasound may be recommended to look in detail at the size, shape and condition of the liver, gall bladder, spleen, biliary system and pancreas.

Renal ultrasound may be recommended to look in detail at the size, shape and condition of the kidneys and bladder.

IMPORTANT

Ensure any symptoms of short-term illness have settled before taking this test. You do not need to fast for this test but avoid eating any fatty foods for 8 hours beforehand.
If you take biotin supplements, stop taking these for 72 hours before the test.

  • Drink plenty of water about an hour before the appointment.
